Dagiti Panilpon nga "a" ken "nga"

Ne. Daytoy sa ketdi ti maysa nga contribusion ko ti gramatika ilocana. Nabasak namin 'diay diksionario ni apo Rubino tay usar kano ti ligature nga "a" ken "nga". Ngem, aguray, umuna ti nasken nga umuna. Ania ngarud ti ilocano ti "ligature"?. Ket "ligadura" a ta kasta ngarud ti "borrowing rules"* ti lengguahe tayo. Ngem nasken kadi nga mangbulod tayo no adda met bukod tayo? Ti pinagkonak ket saan. (ngem addanto pay maibagak maipanggep ti daytoy dita baba). Simrekak ngarud ti uneg/realm iti "meaning", ket daytoy ti ibagbaga ti Merriam-Webster online:

(madi met maiplastar ditoy)

Ala ngarud, awan sabali nga kayat na sawen no ket di "pangsilpon" wenno panilpon.

Ngem, ala man ngarud, ti pinagkonak mabalin met nga buloden ti "ligadura" as an option/on optional basis.

Ta apay? since most educated ilocanos speak english, then it is easy for them to remember spanish-root words with english cognates.

Dakkel ti implikasionna daytoy ti panakapabaknang ti pagsasao tayo. Uray napukawen ti espaniol ti Filipinas, adda met pay laeng english -spanish cognates gapu ta dua ti orihen ti pagsasao nga inggles, Sahon (Saxon) ken Latin. Nalatak ngarud nga addu ti enterseksion ti espaniol ken inggles ta ti espaniol ket naipadron met ti Latin.

Ngem apay nga espaniol ti pangipadronan? Apay saan a mabalin nga English latta koman?

ligatyur vs. ligadura, Kompyuter vs. komputadora kas koma...

Adu ti rason no apay nga espaniol si nasisiaat nga padron, ti pinagkonak.

Umuna, naidaraan tayo ti espaniol, mas natural ti dila tayo ti espaniol kumpara ti inggles ta ponetika nga lengguahe ti espaniol a kas met dagiti lengguahe ti Filipinas. Adda tradision ti lexiko tayo nga mangbulod manipud espaniol.

Maikadua, hispaniko ti dakkel nga parte ti identidad tayo. dakkel ti panagpareho ti kultura tayo kadagiti kultura ti America del Sur/Amerika Latina kas ti mexico, peru, colombia, guatemala, nicaragua ken daddumapay a nasnasion nga nakolonisar ti Espania.

Maikatlo, (political commitment daytoy). Ittattan ta ammo tayon ti dawel ti imperialismo ti tagalog, we must try our very best to coin/adopt new words as different as possible from Tagalog. This is the only way we can rid/clean ourselves from the Tagalog poison in our language.

Ne, adu gayam ti sanga daytoy tema nga ligature/ligadura/panilpon. Agsubli tayo ngarud diay poon.

Ti kuna ni Mr. Rubino, use" nga" before vowels, "a" before consonants. But, he adds, in spoken ilocano, "nga" may be used in either cases.

Ti pinagkonak, nagbiddut ni Apo Rubino. No mabalin nga usaren ti "nga" either before consonants and vowels in spoken ilocano, then mabalin met ngarud a nga isurat! di kadi nga ti padron ti surat ket ti balikas/sao? Therefore, to avoid confusing learners of the language, lets just state what really is the actual usage in spoken speeach, and, of course, follow it in written form.

"Nga" is universal , that is, whether before vowels or consonants. At least this is my natural usage as a native speaker.

For "a", husto ni apo Rubino. "a" may be used before consonants and only before consonants. It is not and never used before vowels.

(ngem ditoy kurkur-itek, despensarenyo ah ta agprakpraktisak pay laeng nga agsurat.)

Simangpeten

Kalpasan ti dua a domingo a panagur-uray, at last simmangpeten toy diksionaryok a ginatangko diay amazon.com. Maysa a tesoro daytoy. Ket idi ukradek, ni nagpintas sika. Isu siguro daytoyen ti kapipintasan a diksionario a mabasak. Ta no yar-arig, kaslaak la maysa a pirigrino diay desierto a naibusan danum, nabayag a nagnagna agingat pakasapul ti maysa a bobon. Wen kabsat, kastoy
ti pakay-yariganna.

Iti umana a nadlaw ko , adu ti diak ammo nga ilokano a sao ditoy diksionaryo. Senial daytoy a saan ko ammo unay ti bukod ko a lengguahe. Ngem ti nakarkaro nga implikasion na daytoy: saan unay nga widespread ti writing and reading in ilokano among its speakers. daytoy ti result ti nabayag a sustisusion ti Tagalog ken Inggles. Ta instead of using, hearing, speaking and writing ilolkano, they instead hear, speak and write in Tagalog/Inggles.Tthe result are dead words that are nevertheless included in the dictionary because they are in fact part of the ilocano lexicon even if their usage is not frequent anymore.

Let us therefore resurrect our rich lexicon, kakabsat. And the only way to do it effectively is by an institutional approach starting with the school children. Let them learn and read in ilocano.
Through it, we shall be increasing the resource pool of future writers and readers of iluko literature.

Ket kinabigatan na kunam, paggisb0m, ne madi... Kona ngarud ni Nanang: Nakong, no mangan ka nasugpet nga damortis...

Drawing the line for language defense

Nasken a mapolitisar dagiti mannurat ti baro a linea ti dangadang. Sadiay trencherayon , amin a mannurat ti literatura ilokana!

Ta apay koma? Akem tayo a protehiran ken pabaknangen ti lengguahe tayo. Adda monstro nga naglemlemeng idiay kasipngetan adu nga dekadan nga napalabas. Ngem naisarangen isuna ti Lawag. Saan isunan a makalemmeng. We have seen how he spews his venom northward. Now it has aimed its sharp claws to all of us, threatening to annihilate us in just one sweep of its sinister wings. It looks like an eagle, but it's not quite the eagle of IMPERIALISM past. No, this monster is more powerful than the eagle. It is a home-grown, endemic ASWANG.

Language is politics...and economics. Ti pagsasao ti kapanunutan ti umili. No baliwan tayo ti pagsaso tayo, agbaliw met dagiti panpanunot tayo. . Tenglem ti lengguahe ket tenglem met ti kapanunotan. Ti lengguahe ket turay. Ti lengguahe ke' politika.

Inggles ti internasional nga lenggauhe ta inggles ngarud ti lengguahe dagiti agdama nga natuturay nga nasnasion. Ket bayat ti panangaramat ti inggles dagiti babassit wenno popobre nga nasion ket lallalo na pay nga manaynayunan ti poder dagiti agttuturay nga nasion. Idi ugma, Latin ti internasional nga lengguahe gapu ta ti Imperio ti Roma ti naturay. Ania ti mekanismo iti daytoy nga siklo ti turay ken lengguahe? Simple laeng. Direct contact wenno imperialismo. Ngem uray awanen to directa nga imperialismo, new independent states tend to follow the language of their former colonial masters. Seoondly, the economic ties that perpetuate/remain after colonization or is developed after colonization also perpetuate the language of the trade partner who is economicaly developed because products will to exchanged in the language of the economically powerful partner. Advances in product development and R and D are also done by powerful nations in their languages and less developed nations have no choice but to follow. The word for the concept of "computer" will always be computer or computadora (or even ordenador) in the ilocano language for the simple reason that the computer was first developed by an english speaking powerful nation.

The backward loop in the cycle of language imperialism is what we may call the "Hollywood premium". This is none other than the higher economic gains of a dominant country because of the wide reach of its products. The easenes of market penetration by a dominant economic power in the less developed countres is made possible by the ability of these markets to understand the language of the economic power. Furthermore, as hollywood culture becomes widespread, products of entertainment and the arts are easily absorbed by the less developed economies.

But we need not look beyond our horizons to see langauge imperialism in its bloody frenzy of annihilating local culture. We have it in our midst, creating additional local markets for the powerful national center, spreading and perpetuating its media, music, literature and arts thereby enrichching its artists and media barons, occupying the corridors of power and policy making thereby perpetuating the unequal development among our regions.

Dayta nga monstro ket Tagalog, nga agparparang kas Filipino.

no makakita ka ti padam nga ilokano dita Manila ket kunana: hoy, pare, kumusta ka na ngayon? TUNGPAEM!!!
